Ocean worhty - I think a few times it wasn't even bay worthy. I think my Dad has super 8 movies of Uncle Walt and some uncles rowing that thing in one time when the engine gave out. But it was a Yacht to us back then!! Couldn't wait to go out in that thing!
Walt didn't fish much at the shore. He did fish a lot in Maryland and Virginia with Uncle Morely. they took some fishing trips down to Florida too. I guess the back bay was better for crabbing than fishing. And Li'l Mae was a li'l boat. Not ocean worthy.
I definately remember doing some crabbing and being out in his boat a few times. But not a whole lot of fishing. Does the bridge in that picture look familiar Maureen? Thats the Chesapeake bay bridge down your way by Mears Point? We took a charter out of Rock Hall that day going for 'rock fish' (aka striped bass). Man were they good!
I know he took Brian and I crabbing a bunch of times in his boat. I think it was called 'Lil Mae' but this was a long time ago. I'm sure Brian remembers though ...
