Buddy has come out of remission (lymphoma). We have had a rough couple of months with his health. He is now going through chemo therapy and we hope to put him back into remission as soon as possible. We would appreciate all your prayers, since I'm sure all you Caseys have connections.

I just wanted to let everyone know how well Maureen is doing. She is such an inspiration. She'll miss Buddy forever, but she is holding up really well. There is going to be a big party here at her house after the service from 11:00 to noon at the funeral home. They are putting up a big tent in the back yard for the party. Should be fun if you want to come. Buddy was a real party guy, and of course, Maureen learned from the best at her grandmother's knee.

Buddy is hanging in there for now. Maureen set up a internet link where you can check in on his condition. It is www.carepages.com you sign up then you can go to Buddys page which is titled Buddyweloveyou. They are trying to build up his strength so he can go to Boston Hospital to get a stem cell transplant for the amyloidosis in about a month. Maureen spends her days at the hospital and can't really take calls or emails. But you can leave her messages at the carepages site. Thanks for all your prayers and good wishes.
I'd like to ask any of you family members who are so inclined to say extra prayers for Buddy this weekend (or anytime.) He has been diagnosed with a second rare illness (amyloidosis) that has left him in critical condition. He can make it with some treatments, but he must be strong enough for the treatment. Maureen is totally occupied with his care and can't take calls or emails. But if you are talking to God at church or elsewhere, ask for some strong divine intervention on Buddy's behalf. I'd appreciate it. Both Maureen and Buddy have Frances (cis) as their middle names. So St. Francis is both of their Patron Saint. I've been praying to him.
Hi Maureen, I am so sorry to hear you guys are struggling with this....I have to confess, I haven't checked in on eggtrick in weeks.....not sure why I did just now either....just know that I am on board with this and will include you all in my prayers. I am sure you are getting the best care possible....have faith.

Mom hey it's Lindsay and just wanted you to know to feel free to call me if you just need someone to let it all out to :( You know I'm always here for you and this is really hard but HOPEFULLY he will get through this and have a whole new appreciation for life ;) I know it makes me think about things differently and me and Heather BOTH are going to make an effort FOR SURE to quit smoking. We don't want you to have to WORRY anymore then you already are :(

Dang Maureen, I'm sorry to hear this. For sure you guys will be in all of our thoughts and prayers. I don't think I ever met Buddy, but please pass on our good wishes and positive thoughts. With enough prayers and good vibes and positive thinking, I'm sure things will get back to normal soon.
